Even makes 200-300 sq ft room cozy and has long lasting performance
Winters can be chilling at times, and who doesn’t want to have a cozy environment to sit/sleep. With the said purpose I purchased this room heater and the other model 1260 (comes with thermostat setting knob for temperature control- more below) as well. Three years plus, and its still working and making my living room cozy to live in.ð INSIDE BOX1x room heater1x manual/warranty cardPower cable is ~1.5 meter long with 15/16amp plugâ PROS1. Solid built efficient room heater with three modes – Fan only, Low temperature (single coil on), High temperature (two coils on)2. Its design is such that even when normally kept on floor, it will direct air at an angle, and not parallel to floor, thus being effective in heating the room3. Since its fan based, so forced connection heats room better compared to cheaper coil only version4. When kept on lower levels, it takes in cool air and blows hot air at an angle, which further rises upwards creating a closed loop. This effectively warms entire room. (cold air is dense, warm air is light)5. It has thermal protection system built in, that auto cuts supply to coils if it gets too hot to melt. A scenario would be failure of fan, making coils to start glowing red- fan takes heat away keeping it normal, some portions may be slightly red depending on air flow direction. The sensor is a bimetllic strip, located right above coil on the right side, that bends and disconnects supply.6. Sufficiently long power cable (1.5m) to ease your life. Its difficulty to find 15amp extension and adds to cost.â CONSNo any cons as such for the price point.âï¸ MODEL 1260 vs 1220Three main differences between the models area) Design- its about ones like and taste. I find all white color and sharp design better.b) 1260 comes with thermostat to control the temperature.c) Cord management system to wind the cord around its base for easy storage. This is possible in 1220 as well, but it has no cuts in place to hold the cord, but does have a cavity to fit in plug.A catch here is that, internals of both the models are same, and even 1220 has a thermostat inside fixed to one setting, just that there is not knob provided to adjust it. One may tinker with it to bring that feature in here as well. But do this only if you know what are are up to (playing with electric circuit), and it may even impact your warranty.ð¨ PERFORMANCE2000 watt system works well for 200-300 sqft room and can keep it cozy. For a small room say 100-150 sqft, it may make room hot and one may need to switch it off at the middle of night. (it all depends on temperature outside though)In Noida winters, I used in to heat 150sq hostel ft room at setting I, with airflow not directed towards me. It kept room cozy throughout the night, even eliminating the need of a blanket. Then, for the past two years using it in Bangalore winters to heat up my living room in 2bhk unit. It works there as well, though takes some time to up the temperature of hall.ð VERDICTThe room heater is a recommended buy, and in fact many of my friends got that on my recommendation and it worked well. I am using it till date without any issue so far. Some of my friends went for 1260 one, mostly for the design and temperature control thing. It doesn’t cost that much extra. One may go for radiator-based room heater if safety is a concern (no exposed electric heating coil), but those are bulky and difficult to repair. On the plus side, maintain warmth for longer duration even when off.

I’ve bought two. One here and one back home. We’re using this product from last 6 years now and no complaints as compared to the ones we used before. Best buy.

Justifies the price.
1. It compulsorily requires 16amps socket if you want to use it for more than 30 mins.2. There is no light or indicator to show that the machine is on or off.3. The fan speed cannot be increased or decreased.4. Chord length is very short, should have been atleast 2 meters.5. No provision for vertical positioning. Have to compulsorily keep it in horizontal position. These are some of the drawbacks I noticed after 1 day of use.Taking the price and brand name into consideration, it is value for money though!
